Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
This policy explains what Qlaudia (Charles Irvine Enterprises LLC) collects, why, and your choices.
1. What we collect
- Account data: name, email address, and sign-in identifiers, provided through our authentication provider (Clerk).
- Learning data: courses you enroll in, concepts marked known/unknown, quiz answers and results, interests, and last-visited items.
- Content you submit: chat messages to the AI assistant, search queries, and feedback.
- Technical data: device/browser type, IP address, and logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
- Terms acceptance: the version of the Terms you accepted and when.
2. How we use it
To provide and personalize the Service (progress tracking, search, recommendations), generate AI responses, secure the Service and prevent abuse, communicate with you, comply with law, and improve the Service. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
3. Service providers who process data for us
- Clerk — authentication and account management.
- Vercel and Render — application hosting.
- Neo4j — database hosting for accounts, progress, and course content.
- Anthropic (and, if enabled, Groq) — generating AI responses; your chat messages and relevant course content are sent to them.
- Voyage AI — text embeddings and reranking for search; your search queries are sent to them.
These providers act on our instructions and may process data in the United States and elsewhere.
4. Sharing
Besides the providers above, we share information only to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or in a business transfer (merger, acquisition, asset sale). We do not give School Publishers access to individual learners' personal data.
5. Retention
We keep your data while your account is active and delete or de-identify it after you delete your account, except where we must retain it for legal, security, or backup purposes.
6. Your choices and rights
You can access, correct, or delete your data by contacting us at qlaudia.support@qlaudia.ai. Depending on where you live (e.g., California, the EU/UK), you may have additional rights, including portability, objection, restriction, and the right to lodge a complaint with a regulator. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information without consent should contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure. Please do not put sensitive personal information (such as health records or government IDs) into the chat.
9. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for sign-in, security, and preferences (such as dark mode). We use Google Analytics to measure usage of the Service in aggregate.
10. International transfers
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
