Teaching the Deafblind

Teaching the Deafblind prepares educators to support students with combined vision and hearing loss through specialized instruction in communication systems, sensory assessment, environmental design, and the unique needs of conditions like CHARGE Syndrome.

Upon completion, educators will be able to implement evidence-based strategies including gestural communication and the van Dijk approach to foster meaningful connection, concept development, and educational success for deafblind students and their family members.
